Last winter the Blower Control Center (BCC) on my
furnace malfunctioned. I could turn the blower on manually to heat
the house, so it wasn't really that big a deal, but I knew that it
would be wise to properly repair the system. Considering how much a
service call would probably cost me, I decided to replace the unit
myself. It was tricky, but I transferred it one wire at a time and
managed to put it all back together again. Well I'm happy to report
that my furnace is working just like new, and I'm guessing I saved

(which I hope it won't) I will definitely come back. I had a local
(Denver area) dealer give me a price on acquiring and installing my
induced draft blower assembly. They came back with a price of $581 but
said that the part was on back-order and wouldn't be in for about a
week and a half. When the part came in, they would call me to arrange
a time to install. You do not want to be without a furnace in Colorado
in January! I was able to get and keep the inducer motor running with
shots of "magic juice" (WD40) and started looking for parts since I
figured that I could replace it myself. You can't find parts locally,
I assume since the contractors don't want you doing it yourself. I
found you on the web, bought the part after your help in making sure
that it was the correct one and had it in my hands in 2 days. The part
cost me $171 with shipping and it took me about 1-1/2 hours to do a
leisurely install. You figure what the contractor wanted to charge me
for markup and labor (I figure about 100% markup and about $300/hour
labor). I'm confident that what they really wanted to do was sell me a
new furnace since as soon as I called to tell them that I had ordered
the part and would be installing it myself, they magically received
their shipment of parts and wanted to come out right away to install.
FAT CHANCE!!

very reasonable for that type of filter. I have had other brands of
humidifiers in the past that use similar filters, so felt confident
